Overview:

Our client are currently seeking an Interim Senior Accountant position for a 12 month fixed term contract to assist our client's finance team. You will work for a reputable brand, based across the UK.

Our client is looking for a highly experienced accountant, who isn’t afraid to get stuck into the detail. You will report directly to the Group Finance Director and be responsible for the accounting and reporting of a number of company entities. You will ensure day to day transactions are entered correctly and support the senior leadership team with regular reporting.

The ideal candidate will be hands on and happy to process transactional functions to complete month end procedures. You will be able to hit the ground running and use your own initiative. This Interim Senior Management Accountant position would suit someone who has worked in a similar position or as Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Controller or similar.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and monitoring of revenue, management accounts, financial accounts and forecasts
• Complete month end reporting including Group reporting requirements and handle any related queries
• Ensure all financial reporting requirements are met on a timely basis
• Complete regulatory reporting
• Journal posting
• Assist with generation of company management information
• Month end accounting reconciliations, including balance sheet, payroll and expenses.

Requirements:

• You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or qualified by experience
• Have previous experience in a similar position
• Be flexible and be able to manage your time effectively
• Previous experience in a contract or interim capacity also an advantage
• Immediately available

Additional Information:

• It is expected that the assignment will last for approximately 12 months
• £45,000 - £60,000 FTE (DOE)
• Candidates outside of this may well be considered depending on experience 
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
