Overview:

Ardeta Search is excited to partner with a Private Equity-backed group of businesses generating annual revenues exceeding £250m. Our client is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to join their group finance team during a critical growth phase. We are seeking an experienced interim FC who isn't afraid to get stuck into the detail on initial 6 month contract which could extend.

This interim role will report directly to the Group CFO and will provide immediate leadership and expertise in consolidated financial reporting, compliance, and strategic finance initiatives, ensuring the continued success of this dynamic, UK and internationally operating group.

The Role:

As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will:

• Lead the preparation of the Group’s consolidated financial statements and ensure timely delivery of year-end audit schedules.
• Oversee the production of statutory accounts for all group entities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage the Group’s external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
• Supervise international financial reporting and compliance, working with third-party providers to meet all obligations.

Technical Expertise:

• Act as the Group’s subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, ensuring full compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Provide clear and actionable advice to the board and senior stakeholders on financial and regulatory matters.

Your Background:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
• Significant experience in financial control and reporting experience and not afraid to get into the detail
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a proven track record of managing complex group consolidations and audits.
• Prior experience in interim or contract roles would be advantageous but not essential.
• Must be able to start Immediately or ASAP
