Business Development Manager – Professional Services

 

Are you a seasoned Business Development professional with a proven track record in driving growth, building strategic relationships, and delivering impactful marketing initiatives? As a Business Development Manager, you will take a strategic leadership role in expanding our client's regional footprint, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape and implement business development initiatives that align with the organisation's vision for growth and market presence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement business development and marketing plans
  • Identify market opportunities to enhance visibility, win new business, and strengthen client relationships.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business development strategies with overall business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external clients, industry contacts, and internal teams.

Marketing & Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the creation and execution of targeted marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.
  • Lead the development of impactful promotional materials, including capability statements, thought leadership pieces, and digital content.

Event Strategy & Coordination:

  • Strategically plan and manage high-profile corporate events, networking functions, and seminars to enhance the organisation's profile.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events, from concept to follow-up, delivering measurable ROI and market impact.

Market Insights & Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct regular market research, competitor analysis, and client insights to inform business strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor emerging trends and provide strategic recommendations to stay ahead of the competition.

 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • A proven background in business development or marketing within the professional services sector ideally, with at least 4-5 years of experience.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with experience working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in event planning and management, including handling high-profile corporate events.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of producing compelling content and proposals.
  • Outstanding organisational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
