Ardeta Search are exclusively working with a prominent technology focussed multinational group who are experiencing rapid growth within their market. Our client has an ambitious and focussed expansion strategy across Europe and as such have a newly created accounting position within their UK based finance team.
The organisation, has proven to be resilient throughout the last couple of years, continuing to expand their product offering and going from strength to strength in their market. As such the business is looking to appoint an experienced accountant who is fluent in German to join their UK based finance team and will work closely alongside their German based subsidiaries.
You will be required to drive improvements in systems, processes and controls, enhancing financial reporting and planning, budgeting, and forecasting. You will have a strong understanding of technical concepts but will have proven business management and development experience.
They key responsibilities of the position include:
Production of month end accounts to tight deadlines
Preparation and posting of in month journals.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Provide analysis for variances against expectations and historic data
Assist the Financial Controller with ad hoc month end and in month tasks.
Assistance with review of balance sheet reconciliation and journals
Attend and participate in monthly management meetings with directors
Project work to suggest and recommend internal controls and process improvements, to streamline processes
Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or in the latter stages of your exams)
Fluent in German (Verbal & Written)
A track record of delivering accurate work on time and in a fast paced environment.
Able to demonstrate team building skills and being a team player
Good verbal and written communicator at all levels and in varying situations
Thorough understanding of Financial Systems
Accounting controls and procedures and statutory regulations.
Attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline
A competitive salary on offer up to £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
