Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in the R&D Tax Sector.
• Expertise: Fluent in BEIS guidelines, confidently applying them to projects and taking an investigative approach to identify qualifying R&D aspects—both financially and technically.
• Background: Financial or technical background; experience in R&D project proposal, grant writing, or related fields is valued.
• Efficiency: Goal-driven, efficient, and able to deliver R&D Tax claims within operational constraints.
• Independence: Capable of independent work, managing a client portfolio.
• Claim Processes: Proficient in all areas of the claim process, from client communication to submission of documentation, including technical and financial reporting and HMRC forms.
• Tax Computation: Confident understanding of tax computations.
• Communication: Professional, confident, and open communication with clients to delve into the technical aspects of the claim.
• Software Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

Desirable:

• Transportation: Driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Software Familiarity: Knowledge of accounting software systems like AlphaTax and proficiency in Xero.
• Industry Exposure: Industry experience or academic qualification in engineering or software technology development.
